I was reading a post earlier today on Gizmodo about someone predicting a 3G iPhone this June. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is simply not the case. Apple has announced the SDK and everything along with it for the current model iPhone. Big companies like AOL, Sega and EA – as well as 100,000+ developers – have already designed apps for the current iPhone. There is no way Apple would make a new iPhone, knowing the hype it’s Mobile App Store is going to bring. Some installer apps have already said goodbye to it’s Jailbroken counterpart and have begun using the SDK. I know I said this before, but its true… if you were hoping for a new iPhone this year it is simply out of the question.

I can see it happening in around September. The App Store hype will have died down a bit, Apple will be keen to keep it up & Asia is going to be wanting its version of the iPhone, which is pretty much definitely going to be 3G. Just my thoughts though…
